What is Blockchain ?
Blockchain is a network of computers storing a ledger or blocks of information generated by smart contracts. Each new generated block of information is added to the previous one forming a chain, a block-chain. Smart contracts are the programs developed to process data and execute transactions inside the blockchain network.
Each blockchain network is decentralized, meaning there is no central or unique place to store its data, each node/computer of the network has a copy of the entire ledger. There are hundreds of blockchain networks that can be used for different purpose like Decentralized Finance (DeFi), Digital Art marketplaces, Decentralized Science (DeSci), etc.
What means tokenization on the blockchain ?
Tokenizing something on the blockchain is basically placing a digital version of that something (e.g. digital art, genomic data, operational data, software code, clinical/veterinary laboratory results, services, etc) as a token inside a blockchain network.
Transactions inside the blockchain network are very secure and once the block and all the information associated to it have been generated (minted) then it basically become tamper-proof information. Most of the blockchains networks are public then transactions and associated metadata are publicly available.

Where is my tokenized data stored ?
Most tokenized data is stored on-chain, inside a blockchain network but because of their size the bigger ones are usually stored off-chain on a decentralized encrypted storage.
Who owns my tokenized data ?
You, the customer. Only customers will have the keys to access, share, monetize or even delete their tokens.
